LANSDOWNE — The Lansdowne Economic Development Corp. announced the grand opening of SAMA Department Store, 12 W. Baltimore Pike, Lansdowne, today, Oct. 19.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 1 p.m., celebrating a significant addition to Lansdowne’s vibrant downtown area.
Following the ceremony, SAMA will open to the public.
SAMA Department Store is a small, independently owned chain founded by entrepreneur Hussain Almuflahi. The Lansdowne location marks SAMA’s first expansion outside New York, where it has garnered a loyal customer base since its inception.
SAMA is known for its unique blend of traditional retail and modern e-commerce, offering a diverse range of merchandise, including clothing, accessories, home goods and more.
According to a press release about the opening, “Almuflahi has built a strong reputation for customer service and community engagement. Customers frequently praise SAMA for its personalized shopping experience and curated selection of quality products.”
Clare Finin, executive director of the borough business group, expressed her enthusiasm for the new store when she stated, “The opening of SAMA Department Store is not just about a new retail space. This opening is particularly exciting for Lansdowne as it coincides with a robust fall schedule of arts and culture events aimed at revitalizing the downtown area.
